Before Maryland: Named a McDonald’s All-American, and rated the No. 12 overall player by the All Star Girls Report, No. 15 overall by ESPN’s Hoop Gurlz and Collegiate Girls Basketball Report. Fraser was also rated the No. 3 player at her position by ESPN, played in City Championship game at the Barclays Center in her junior year, then led her team to a City Championship at Madison Square Garden as a senior. She broke the NYS Federation scoring record with 46 points vs. Christ the King as a senior. Named a Brand Jordan All-American and played in the game at the Barclays Center. She led high school team to PSAL championship game at Madison Square Garden as a sophomore in 2013, and was added to the All-Brooklyn First Team in 2013 and 2014. She earned a PSAL AA Sportsmanship Award, played volleyball for four years in high school and was recruited to play Division I, and also competed in fencing for two years in high school.
Personal: Brianna Fraser’s parents are Conwin and Linden Fraser. She has one sibling, Brishana. Her father, Linden, was a professional cricket player. She decided to come to Maryland as soon as she saw the campus, and enrolled as a letters and sciences major.
